A writ petition is an important constitutional remedy available in appropriate circumstances. Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, High Courts have wide powers to issue appropriate writs and directions within their jurisdiction. Writ proceedings may arise in matters involving public authorities, administrative decisions, statutory duties and other issues falling within the constitutional jurisdiction of the High Court. Whether a writ petition is appropriate depends upon the facts, applicable law, jurisdiction and available alternative remedies. #WritPetition #Article226 #ConstitutionalLaw #PatnaHighCourt #BiharLaw #LegalAwareness #HighCourtAdvocate
